Once the content and shows have been
created a content distribution network sends the play lists and
files to the destination screens. Each show consists of a set of
files, the content, and a play list which sets out the order in
which the content is shown. The content distribution network allows
shows to be sent to the display heads, these can be singles,
department clusters and local or global groups.
Shows can be time stamped so they
activate at different times. This could allow different content
to be shown at different times of the day be it morning, afternoon,
evening, weekend, bank holiday and can be dynamically updated, on
the fly, to take advantage of a changing environment. The content
distribution network allows fast update to multiple sites with the
minimum of fuss. |
